Last night I was invited to the Free Spirit Quilt Guild to do a presentation about free motion quilting. What a great group of ladies! I really enjoyed myself! My friend Lynn kindly took some pictures for me to share with you!
Here is a photo of me demonstrating some free motion techniques.
Here are some of the ladies in the guild. They are gathered around as I demo.
Sometimes I worry that all this quilty stuff will go to my head and I'll get a big head. But, I really don't have to worry about that......When I got home from the guild presentation, I discovered that one of my cats had hurled all over the quilts on my bed!!!!! :)

Taxes
I wonder who invented taxes......
Sadly, I am a creative person and numbers and forms are not my strong point. However, every year I put myself through the agony of using tax software to do my own taxes. So far, I seem to be able to accommplish this amazing feat, but that doesn't make the process any easier. Lists and receipts.....
Perhaps if the tax codes were in a quilt format, it would all make sense to me. Can you imagine how big a tax quilt would be?
Keep smiling!

Welcome to my blog!
Hello! My name is Tricia Lynn Maloney and I am The Orphan Quilter.
What is an orphan quilt? You might ask..... An orphan quilt is made up of orphan quilt blocks, or blocks that never made it into a finished quilt. I LOVE ORPHAN QUILT BLOCKS! New, old, in good condition, or poor -- I love them all. In fact, I love orphan blocks so much -- I WROTE A BOOK ABOUT THEM!
Orphan Block Quilts: Making a Home for Antique, Vintage, Collectible, and Leftover Quilt Blocks.
My book will be out 30 August 2010!
So stay tuned for more orphan block fun!
